University Centre Somerset - Bridgwater & Taunton College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The BSc (Hons) top-up provides students with the skills and knowledge to enter a range of computing professions, which have seen increased demand for employees at graduate level, and will equip learners with the necessary skills and academic standing to enter postgraduate study.
It also enhances employability of students by providing training with industry-standard software and access to specialised resources such as the Networking Laboratory
During the course you will cover a range of topics which may include:
*module application development
*mobile network and security management - optional module
Assessment is through a mix of assignments, examinations, reports and presentations. As part of the course you will be required to undertake in. A prominent feature of the course is the use of in-course assessment, where modules are assessed by the course teaching team as you complete them. The focus of the degree is the final year major project and dissertation, showcasing your high level computer skills.

Applicants must have a Foundation Degree, HND or equivalent Level 5 qualification in an appropriate discipline. Students also require GCSE at grade A*-C (new grading system 9-4) in English and Maths or equivalent Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
