Archaeology is the study of how people in the past interacted with their world, through a detailed study of their objects, sites, monuments and landscapes. You will have the opportunity to gain practical fieldwork skills in the UK and also abroad. Recent students have worked in the Baltic states, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy and Portugal.
Celtic Studies provides the opportunity to combine language study with a range of courses on the medieval and modern Celtic cultures of the British Isles. You will have the opportunity to study the medieval and modern cultures of the Celtic-speaking peoples, with scholars at the cutting edge of research: and learn a Celtic language of the British Isles.

|Scottish HNC||Pass HNC Group Award in the appropriate subject area and also obtain grade A in the Graded Unit. Must also have Higher English at grade B or above and successfully pass the University of Glasgow Summer School.|

SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve AAAA/AAABB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than AAAA/AAABB by the end of S5 but achieved at least ABBB MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until March once all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAAB cumulatively by the end of S6.
