Building on a relevant Foundation degree qualification, this one-year Honours degree in Finance and Law will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge for a future career in the professional and commercial world of finance and law. This enables our students to develop their expertise in specialist areas, or broaden their understanding of finance and law to open up a diverse variety of career opportunities.
Alongside the core units, there are a variety of option units to choose from from family law to starting a business, you have the opportunity to tailor your studies to suit your career aspirations.
Our graduates have gone on to work for the likes of: Anglo-Continental; Churchill Knight & Associates; Compass Group; Countrywide; Riverview Portfolio Ltd.
You will study company law, strategic management and investment management as well as a two optional units which will enable you to tailor the course to suit a specialist area of expertise you wish to pursue a career in, or to broaden your understanding of finance and law to open up further career opportunities.

Apprenticeships: We recognise the transferable knowledge and skills gained through apprenticeships and welcome applications from students with the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Mature applicants: We recognise that mature applicants may have a wealth of experience rather than formal qualifications, so we’ll consider your application on these merits if it’s included in your application. You’ll need to apply to BU in the usual way through UCAS and you may be invited to an interview to discuss your suitability for the course based on the experience you tell us about in your application.
