Ensuring they all have a positive experience is the ultimate goal of a skilled hospitality manager.

Taught by hospitality specialists and a range of industry-expert, guest lecturers, the four-year BA will equip you with a range of skills needed to get ahead in this versatile and exciting sector. In year one, two and your final year, you have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of option units, allowing you to tailor your studies and follow the route that suits your personal goals and career aspirations. In your third year you'll gain vital experience working for 30-weeks in a real-world environment, anywhere in the world.
Undergraduate students who will successfully complete the Digital Marketing unit have the opportunity to achieve the IDM qualification level 4 Certificate in Digital Marketing, as a result of exemptions awarded by the IDM for the Digital Marketing unit.
Our graduates have gone on to work for organisations such as Marriott International, CH & Co, The Royal Household, Jumeriah Group and The Chewton Glen. This course also received 89% overall satisfaction rating from our final year students in the latest National Student Survey (NSS, 2018).
You will study a number of units including the tourism and hospitality industries, marketing for tourism and hospitality, financial reporting for hospitality, food systems, hospitality operations, managing people in tourism and hospitality, consumer experience and behaviour, hospitality operations management, strategy and leadership in hospitality along with a number of optional units and a 30 week work placement in your third year.

Apprenticeships: We recognise the transferable knowledge and skills gained through apprenticeships and welcome applications from students with the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Mature applicants: We recognise that mature applicants may have a wealth of experience rather than formal qualifications, so we’ll consider your application on these merits if it’s included in your application. You’ll need to apply to BU in the usual way through UCAS and you may be invited to an interview to discuss your suitability for the course based on the experience you tell us about in your application.
