From the moment you arrive at the Aberystwyth Business School we will work with you to build on your skills and experience to enhance your career prospects. During your time with us you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience placements within institutions like the County Council as a part of your third year module ‘Employability Skills for Professionals'. This will be an amazing opportunity to learn more about the industry sector and network with potential future employers. You will have an opportunity to undertake a work placement or internship through the AberForward scheme, which is a paid internship within Aberystwyth University as well as take a Year in Employment (YES) placement, which is a year long payed internship within external industries between your second and third year. We have a dedicated team within the Careers Department to assist you during both your application period and during your placement. Moreover, you can work and network with employers from a range of national and multi-national companies through our visiting speaker programme, and take part in International Exchange Programmes.

We still use the UCAS tariff to determine whether you have met the terms of our offer, so whatever qualifications you are taking, provided these are included in the UCAS tariff and provided you meet the overall points total (and any specific subject requirements) you may still receive an offer. This means that if your course requires 3 A levels at BBB, we will accept other grade combinations that are equivalent to the same number of tariff points. For example A levels ABC and AAD equate to 120 UCAS tariff points). Applicants studying a mixture of qualifications (e.g. A Level with BTEC) are also warmly welcomed. Additional entry requirements
A minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) English or Welsh is a requirement for entry to all our degree schemes. Level 3 KS/FS Communication may be acceptable in lieu of GCSE English or Welsh. For this degree scheme minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics is also required. GCSE Mathematics-Numeracy is acceptable in lieu of GCSE Mathematics.
