The role of coach or manager in football is one full of immense pressure, but with that comes potentially huge rewards.
Students on this programme will learn how to spot and develop talent, as well as lead with authority. You will engage with, and gain an understanding across, areas such as community coaching, academy coaching, semi-professional, professional and overseas coaching. Taught within the football club environment, the Football Coaching & Management degree qualification provides a unique learning experience and the opportunity to live, learn and develop within the live operations of a professional atmosphere, providing students with access to coaching at clubs across the football pyramid.
This degree provides lifelong learning and education to aspiring young football coaches and managers, as well as being the hub for football industry qualifications. You will receive high quality teaching, learning and coaching provision from professionals with backgrounds in academia and professional football. We aim to ensure that everyone on our Football Coaching & Management degree will gain the qualifications, skills and expertise needed for the maximum chance of success within the football industry.

Year 1 Modules: Coaching in the Community; Football Principles and Practice; Fundamentals of Coaching; Introduction to Football Management
Year 2 Modules: Football Tactics and Strategies; Managing Teams and Individuals; Research Methods; Talent Development
Year 3 Modules: Applied Reflective Practice; Elite Performance Coaching; Match Analysis; Research Project
This programme is predominantly assessed through coursework and practical examinations.

Applicants wishing to start this programme must hold an FA Level 1 coaching badge prior to enrollment. Applicants who do not hold this qualification at the point of application will be asked to achieve this as part of their offer conditions and must do so by August 31st following their application.
Additional entry requirements
Applicants who do not meet the programme's minimum entry requirements will be asked to attend an interview and assessment at a UCFB campus.
