The International Relations with Economics degree at Birmingham combines an interdisciplinary approach to the study of international affairs with a specialised knowledge of economics (with a particular emphasis on international economics). You will also study international and comparative politics; the theory and practice of international relations; and diplomatic history.

Students applying for this degree at Birmingham will join the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS), a department that scores high in the National Student Survey (NSS) and is consistently viewed as one of the best departments in the country.

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 32 points For students starting their course in 2019 the entry requirements are 6,6,5 at Higher Level with a minimum of 32 points overall.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (first teaching September 2015) Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade.
