Production Arts South Gloucestershire and Stroud College

Undergraduate

Awarded by: Pearson Education Ltd

This Production Arts programme is taught in the vibrant city of Bristol. Bristol has a long established history with theatres, performing arts, media and television.
This HND in Production Arts covers a wide range of disciplines and skills that are required for employment within the performing arts and live event industries.
The programme is taught within in our School of Performing Arts which has a 250 and an 80 seated theatre, along with a variety of specialised rooms. All our degrees are very practical based programmes and as part of this students will receive professional experience of supporting our extensive schedule of live performances each year. Our scenic workshop is well equipped with fixed and portable tooling which allows all of our sets, staging and properties to be made specifically for productions, in-house. The Production Arts programme has strong connections with our Media Department, which has editing suites, a fully equipped TV studio and mac suites which be available for use by Production Arts students. This HND is a qualification in its own right and is equivalent to the first 2 years of a degree. Most of our students progress onto a 1 year programme to complete their full degree.
