Biological Sciences encompasses many aspects of the biosciences, from molecules to ecosystems and includes exploration of: biological diversity, systematics and conservation; cell and tissue structure, function and physiology; ecology and behaviour; form and function of microorganisms, protists, fungi, plants and animals; genetics and mechanisms and pathways of evolution.

Successful completion of relevant BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (1080 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) at Level 3) with 540 GLH at Distinction (a minimum of 240 GLH in externally assessed units) and 540 GLH at Merit.
Applicants must have Distinction grades in four specified units to include:
Principles of Applied Science I
Principles of Applied Science II
and two from the following:

Access to HE Diploma must contain sufficient relevant modules in Biology and Chemistry.
