The Advertising course combines practical projects, with a critical examination of the impact of advertising messages. Working from a solid foundation of the theories and strategies behind successful advertising and branding campaigns, this course aims to develop and extend your ability to devise appropriate brand narratives and to produce powerful, persuasive messages and creative materials.
This course delivers the essential elements of business and management in a Combined Honours award, thereby allowing you to select a complementary area of study interest. Studying Business Management alongside another area will enhance your managerial knowledge and prepare you for progression to a management position in your chosen field.

For Business Management assessment is varied. While we incorporate examinations and academic essays, we also use methods that reflect the world of work, including presentations, portfolios and group work.
For Advertising you will be assessed using a range of methods including essays and reports, as well as through the production of practical ‘hands-on’ advertising materials, which may include: posters, radio adverts, video adverts, mobile phone apps, social media, and branding strategies, individual and group projects, reflective journals and other relevant artefacts, and presentations.
