University of Hertfordshire has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
This degree offers you the opportunity to understand, explore and make an informed contribution to education debates. You will be able to make links between education policy, its delivery and the experience of groups and individuals. In addition you will study elective modules to enable you to develop your understanding of learning and teaching. You could choose to focus on the core subjects within the primary National Curriculum, assessment or behaviour for learning. Within the course you will study core themes covering contemporary issues in education and society; historical figures in education; the philosophy and psychology of education; learning theory; and education literature. This degree combines the traditional study of the disciplines of education with innovative approaches to study and your own learning.
