Course summary

The combination of business and law gives students an excellent grounding for careers in business, financial services and the legal profession, as well as the public and voluntary sectors.

There are important connections between the law, in particular in property rights and contracting, and business practices. This programme reflects the global, dynamic climate of contemporary business and management, offering specialist courses in a range of business and legal subjects with the law component grounded in Scots law and the Scots legal system.

You will also be made familiar with the law and legal systems of the other parts of the UK, the European Union and the wider world.

Scotland In 2019-20 the fee level set by the Scottish Government was £1,820. The 2020 fee rate is expected to be confirmed by the Scottish Government in early 2020. Students must apply to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for payment of their tuition fees. England/Wales/N Ireland The Rest of UK (RUK) rate is yet to be confirmed and was £9,250 for 2019 entry. For 2020 entry this may increase in line with inflation and will be subject to government limits. EU 2020 entry EU students will be admitted as Scottish/EU fee status students, will retain that status for the duration of their studies, and are eligible for tuition fee support from the Scottish Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).
