The programme aims to equip trainee teachers with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to successfully complete a programme of study and progress to a full teaching role within the lifelong learning sector.
Units covered on this course include: Planning and Delivery, Assessment, Managing Behaviour, Equality and Diversity, Curriculum Development in A Specialist Area, Managing Resources, Evaluating Quality of Learning Programmes and Wider Professional Practice.
100 hours of teaching practice with 8 developmental observations Written Assignments Presentations

All applications will be considered individually however offers will usually be based on:
64 UCAS points (those with 48 UCAS points will be considered for an interview)
BTEC Level 3 qualification (2 years) in relevant subject
Other related Level 3 qualifications
Normally 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or numeric score of 4/5 under newly reformed GCSE grading), including maths or English
An Access to Higher Education Diploma in relevant area
Related work experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications
Additional entry requirements
Criminal records declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland)
You will need a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) certificate that has been issued within 12 months of the start of the course. You can apply for one at enrolment, for a fee, if necessary.
