The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering is designed to provide a route to careers within the industry. Students will gain both a practical and theoretical understanding of scientific, mathematical and design principles within Civil Engineering.
This course includes units such as: Construction Technology, Science and Materials, Construction Practice & Management, Individual project, Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing Specification), Mathematics for Construction, Principles of Structural Design, Group Project, Further Mathematics for Construction, Geotechnics and Soil Mechanics, Advanced Structural Design.
The HND programme is assessed through a variety of methods, from written assignments to course work.
