The Foundation Degree Health and Wellbeing is designed for those wanting to gain knowledge and experience of working in a health related profession. A degree in health and wellbeing looks at health in a broad context and investigates current issues in healthcare. Studying at Undergraduate level helps your opportunities for gaining relevant work in the health sector. Employers are looking for a highly skilled workforce with relevant qualifications and transferrable skills.
You will study 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5. Year 1 modules may include (level 4) Skills for Professional Development; Communication and Interpersonal Skills for the Health Care Professional; Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body; Working in the Healthcare Profession; Concepts of Health and Wellbeing; Legal Aspects of Healthcare. Year 2 modules may include (level 5) Developing Professional Practice; Contemporary Issues in Healthcare and Wellbeing; Complementary Therapies; Nutrition and the Impact on Wellbeing; Health and Wellbeing- Action Research Project.
