Our single honours Psychology degree (accredited by the British Psychological Society) will allow students to study a challenging and rewarding programme of psychological study delivered in a supportive environment by an approachable team of Psychology lecturers. The programme has a strong focus upon the application of psychological knowledge to understanding real-life situations, and students will develop a critical understanding of how psychological theories can be used to improve individual, organisational, and societal health. Students will be actively engaged in research from their first day on the course, and are encouraged to engage in the exciting research culture of the school. The programme is delivered through an innovative blend of traditional lectures, practical workshops, and small seminar group work, providing students with regular opportunity to discuss and debate cutting edge research and real world applications of psychology with fellow students and tutors. The school has close links with the Welsh Branch of the British Psychological Society and has an active student-led Psychology Society.
