Modules
This course is for students who are interested in achieving a Higher Education qualification and pursuing a career in the Travel and Tourism Industry. The course consists of 240 credits at both Level 4 and level 5 which includes the following Mandatory units: The Travel and Tourism Sector, Finance and Funding in the Travel and Tourism Sector, The Development Manager, Research Project, Marketing in Travel and Tourism, Contemporary Issues, Sustainable Tourism Development and Legislation and Ethics in the Travel and Tourism Sector. There are no formal exams on the BTEC Higher National Diploma. Most modules will be assessed by a mixture of coursework and end of module tests. Some practical modules are assessed on 100% coursework. Assessment methods are assignment based and may include practical projects including presentations, group activities, written reports or research projects.

Qualification requirements
GCSE grades 9/A* to 4/C including English Language and maths or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths. The academic requirement may be offset by three years recent and substantial relevant industrial experience.
