Modules

This course prepares you with skills and knowledge in a variety of topics that will prepare you for the next level of education or a job in the Computer industry. The programme is split into two semesters that run for a full year. The units of study are outlined below: Semester 1 • Unit 1 – Business Skills for e-Commerce • Unit 2 – Computer Systems • Unit 3 – Employability and Professional Development • Unit 4 – Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation Semester 2 • Unit 13 – Multimedia Design and Authoring • Unit 14 – Website Design • Unit 15 – Website Management • Unit 19 – Object Oriented Programming The assessment methods used for this programme includes a diverse range of activities including online assessment, written assignments and practical exams to demonstrate competency.

Assessment method

You will be taught by highly qualified and experienced IT professionals who will use a wide variety of teaching methods to help you to learn and progress to the next level. Lectures, discussions, independent research, industrial case studies, e-Learning modules and practical activates to develop vocational skills.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW WELL I AM DOING?
Every student has access to a Personal Tutor who will meet with them on a regular basis to ensure they are making good progress and have no issues with the course or college. Tutors make sure that you receive regular feedback, help you manage your workload and meet college expectations.

The college also uses an online monitoring system that will show attendance, grades and track progress on assignment submissions so that all learners are able to monitor their own progress 24/7.
