Manchester Metropolitan University has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
Our Education Foundation Years are designed to provide an inclusive and accessible pathway onto an undergraduate honours degree within the Faculty of Education - and are aimed at students who otherwise might not access higher education. This might be because you have missed the entry requirements, or simply because you have been away from education for a period of time. Successful completion of the Foundation Year guarantees automatic progression onto year 1 of your chosen linked degree.
All full-time students study 120 credits, which are divided into four 30-credit units. These typically include: FOUNDATIONS OF ACADEMIC PRACTICE; THE LEARNING PROCESS; EDUCATION, COMMUNITY AND DIVERSITY; EDLAB: PRACTICE AND INNOVATION.
