Our International Business degree equips you to respond to the challenges and opportunities faced by a global business while developing your understanding in all areas of enterprise such as marketing, finance, and management. This course is internationally focused by design. You will develop a broad understanding of business in a global context through modules that teach everything from international trade and finance, to international business in a digital economy, alongside introductory modules in finance, operations, and other essential business functions plus flexible options in more specialised areas of business. You’ll also have the option to take language modules that will support you if you decide to pursue the popular Year Abroad. You take a Year in Industry following your second year of study, enabling you to apply your expertise in a work setting while earning a salary. Modules

Stage 1 Your first year is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the understanding of business practices and their related functions, such as marketing and human resource management, and contexts, such as local, regional and global developments. Stage 2 Your second year becomes more specialised, allowing you to develop your critical thinking of international business with greater emphasis on the key concepts and theories to develop intellectual agility and provides an opportunity to apply theory to practice. Year in Industry: All students spend a year in industry in the UK or internationally, supported by a dedicated Employability and Placement teams. The programme is designed to ensure that students gain experience in the functional areas and industries of their choice. Unique to KBS, students can take a Self-Employed Placement year during which they develop their initial business idea into a feasible business plan. The ‘Selfie’ programme students are supported by an in-house entrepreneur who acts as their specialist mentor. Stage 3 Your final year allows you to develop your specialist knowledge of international business focusing on capstone modules such as global strategy, European business, international entrepreneurship, and global value chain management with flexibility to choose optional modules to tailor your degree with the opportunity to undertake an international business project.
