City of Bristol College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
This course provides a general foundation in business and management theories and concepts by exploring the nature of business, how businesses meet the needs of customers, stakeholders and employees and how factors outside the organisation affect business performance. It will prepare you for a career in business and management and equip you with real world business skills to work in a wide range of industries.
The course is studied on a modular basis. The course is assessed through exams, individual and group presentations, in-class tests, business reports, projects, self-assessments, and coursework. There may be visits by speakers and trips arranged to enhance teaching input. Modules may include: Marketing Fundamentals; Business Environment; Finance and Accounting; People and Organisations; Research Methods; IT for Business; The Legal Environment for Business; Economics; Management Accounts; Project Management; Human Resources and Sustainability.
You will be assessed through a combination of group work, coursework, exams and presentations
