This course is designed for you to enter a 2 year programme of study in Sports Performance and Coaching with the option of either progressing on to further study or accessing career opportunities in Sports coaching and development. You will undertake subjects that will develop your practical skills and theoretical knowledge of running and leading coaching sessions across a variety of sports. You will develop an understanding the psychological demands placed on athletes, learn how to devise psychological coping strategies whilst developing individualised training programmes for athletes. You will develop the skills to analyse a variety of performance characteristics.

Modules

On this course you will undertake subjects that will develop your practical skills and theoretical knowledge of running and leading coaching sessions across a variety of sports.
