This programme is for students who wish to pursue or advance their career in computing or related fields. Those who are working or wish to work and develop their skills as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the computing sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.
This programme has a number of different subject specialisms that result in different award titles. The title of the award made will depend on the modules completed. The titles of the awards available are:
HND Computing (Network Engineering)
HND Computing (Software Engineering)
HND Computing (Data Analytics)
HND Computing (Security)
HND Computing (Intelligent Systems)
HND Computing (Applications Development)
Modules may include: Programming; Networking; Professional Practice; Database Design & Development; Security; Managing a Successful Computing Project
You will be assessed via coursework assessments, and practical examinations.
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
