With a mix of pure and applied mathematics plus some numerical analysis, you’ll have the opportunity to become skilled at a variety of mathematical topics. You’ll also have the chance to pursue an area of particular interest through a dissertation in your final year.

This course enables you to expand your understanding of mathematical theories and methods and apply them to issues found in the real world. You’ll also develop useful transferable skills, such as team work, problem solving and personal communication. Additional topics have been included, mainly during your final year, to introduce you to areas of current interest that will lead you naturally towards areas of research.

Qualification Offer Further information
UCAS Tariff 96 points Your Level 3 subjects must include mathematics; for instance, A-level Mathematics or IMA Polymaths Certificate (with a score of at least 900 out of 1200 points). You should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent) including English.
