The city is home to the NEC, the NIA, Symphony Hall and the International Convention Centre, which all host a vast range of events, concerts and conferences. With UCB’s extensive network of contact throughout the industry, you will gain valuable experience from field trips, live projects and through the planning of a live event in Year 2.
Year 1: Events Studies, Event Design, Events Business Environment, Managing Activities & People, The Events Industry, Planning for Events and Support Services for Events.
Year 2: Events Finance, Event Hospitality Management, Events Marketing, Research Principles, Project Management for Events, Live Events Project.
Optional work placement.

Over the course of this qualification you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the events management sector and the processes involved in creating a successful event. You will be given detailed information about events systems, project management and how to oversee a live event. You will be taught how to manage large-scale events such as conferences, concerts, product launches, festivals and carnivals – and encouraged to develop a specialism that relates to your future career.
You will go on residential visits in your first two years of study, and visit a European destination in your final year. You could also choose to give yourself the employment edge by learning a language for free.
