Course details

Modules

In year one you will be given an overview of Graphic Design that includes sampling, basic principles and skills. The theme for this period is orientation; an understanding of the scope of design, what it can achieve and its place in the world. An appreciation of heroes and influences is gained through exposure to well-regarded design and designers while the ability to comment on such work is developed through debate and discussion. The second year continues the journey into the language and culture of graphic design and communication; the underlying theme for this year is experimentation. The final year allows you to consolidate the views, skills and abilities gained at year one and two. Personal views and passions are demonstrated through self initiated and negotiated study whilst involvement with national and international lend credibility and possible recognition to your portfolio.
