Course summary

Birmingham Newman University offers an innovative foundation year to complement our undergraduate degrees. Our Foundation Year is the first year of a four-year degree. Completion of the Foundation Year leads into the first year of the 3 year degree in Studies in Primary Education BA (Hons). The foundation year provides an alternative route to an undergraduate degree for those unable to meet the traditional entry requirements for a three-year degree and for those looking to build their confidence and academic skills. BA (Hons) Studies in Primary Education This hugely popular course draws upon psychology, sociology and philosophy to take an applied approach to understanding how we can improve the education system and make positive change in the world. You will work alongside inspiring academics and supportive students to develop your critical thinking, communication, and creativity whilst forming lifelong friendships through engagement in collaborative projects exploring how we can develop the education system to address the challenges of the 21st century.
