.Assessment methods are varied and may include written reports, presentations, case studies, individual/group projects and reflective statements. Where units are work-related, assessment will relate to your own organisation (where appropriate) and/or vocational setting. For mathematical subjects there may be time based assessments in the classroom.

The following entry points are available for this course:
- Year 1
All applicants will be invited to an interview to discuss qualifications, experience and other related issues.
In order to start this course, you will be expected to have successfully completed, or have evidence of working towards, at least 64 UCAS points, which is equivalent to:
- Two A Level grade C/grade 4 in appropriate subjects, one of which should be Maths.
- BTEC National Diploma at grade MM – with a distinction in Further Maths for Technicians and Mechanical Principles.
- BTEC National Extended Diploma at grade MPP – with a distinction in Further Maths for Technicians and Mechanical Principles.
- Alternatively, we will consider substantive experience in a relevant field.
Additional entry requirements
We normally require three GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 or above, to include English language and maths: English and maths at Level 2 are essential requirements.
