The Foundation Degree in Art Enterprise at the University Centre develops your creative talent whilst equipping you with the specific employability skills to help you to get ahead and become a successful artist.
The course has excellent links to the creative industry and you will be using these right from the very beginning by creating public exhibitions, working with artists, designers, gallerists and curators: selling your work, promoting yourself, visiting exhibitions, interviewing artists and art organisations, developing media campaigns, working with the public, getting to grips with the business of art, and by critically understanding the changing identity of the artist, and the art market.
We welcome applications from students working in a wide range of creative disciplines, our current students work across; Drawing, Painting , Sculpture, Graphics, Illustration, Video, Print, Digital, Textiles, Photography, Installation and more.
Art Enterprise is now housed in our refurbished University Centre directly opposite Park Lane Campus. We have brand new studios, exhibition spaces, state of the art student work zones, a new student common room, and, importantly, a building which is exclusively for our degree students.
This course has received excellent feedback from the creative community who have commented on the importance in today's creative education to develop graduates with the necessary skills to thrive within the industry, which makes this an innovative and forward thinking art and design programme.
