The Applied Physics degree at Dundee is intended for those with a strong interest in the application of physics knowledge and techniques in the real world, to solve problems and develop new procedures, materials and devices for tomorrow’s technology. The department is internationally renowned for its research in applied physics topics, including Materials Science, Laser Applications, Biophysics and Photonics. This means you are able to carry out your honours project supervised by a leading academic. Physics at Dundee maintains a close academic relationship between staff and students, so you can get to see your Lecturer or Advisor at short notice and receive expert advice. Our Physics Society has over 100 members, runs regular events and organises a European trip each year to a notable Physics landmark.
