Based within our Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, this research programme covers a wide range of research activities, characterised by collaboration and inter-disciplinarity. Our strength lies in the breadth and depth of our research, encompassing Francophone research to China studies. PhD students are valued colleagues in our research community, and their work reflects the diversity of the work of the whole Faculty. Broadly, our research is grouped in the following areas: Contemporary China Centre; Francophone Studies Research Group; HOMELandS - Hub for Migration, Exiles, Languages and Spaces; Translating Cultures; War and Culture.
