University Centre Leeds, Leeds City College has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
The Foundation Degree Leadership and Management (Hospitality) is designed to ensure that you cover a broad range of modules, which will equip you for employment in leadership and management roles within the hospitality sector.
The programme offers modules which combine a range of theoretical and practical elements designed to provide you with the skills needed in the workplace, as well as the academic rigour appropriate to a Higher Education programme.
You will be introduced to a range of concepts that underpin the programme and which are essential to operate at a supervisory and/or management level, within the hospitality sector.
This course has been designed to meet the growing demand for hospitality professionals capable of leadership and management, and as such involves application of leadership and management skills to the hospitality sector.
You are provided with the underpinning knowledge and expertise to progress either into the employment market or to continue your studies on the BA (Hons) Top-up degree.
Part-time students will be expected to be in employment whilst on programme, and full-time students will be expected to complete vocational experience within the occupational sector throughout the programme.
This will provide valuable experience, networking opportunities and a chance to apply academic study in a working environment.
You will study 120 credits per year of the course and the modules may include:

Continuous assessment ensures that your progress is monitored throughout the modules with personal tutor support.
A variety of assessment methods are used, including presentations, role-plays, professional discussions, portfolios and reports.
