Tyne Coast College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The BTEC level 5 HND in Applied Biology is a vocational and practical science based course. The course offers the chance to build skills and give a solid grounding in many areas of biology including physiology, molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, immunology, data analysis and practical work.
You will be equipped with knowledge, understanding and skills for success in employment in biologically-based industries and permit progression to an undergraduate degree or further professional qualification in applied biology or related area.
Each unit is assessed by individual or group participation, research and coursework assignments
