You’ll study a range of fascinating subjects, all relevant to real-world issues. These range from health, disease and nutrition to wildlife and zoo management, biodiversity and ethics. The foundation year option will give you the subject-specific knowledge and skills needed to progress on to the BSc degree.

Our students gain work and research experience in our animal therapy centres on campus, as well as at local rescue centres, zoos and wildlife parks. An optional field trip to Mankwe Wildlife Reserve on the South Africa plains will give you valuable insights into international zoology careers. Recent graduate destinations have included roles in zoos and wildlife centres, animal charities and rescue centres, animal nutrition, pharmaceuticals, animal health and welfare, education and outreach.
