The course focuses in particular on the broadly defined areas of financial accounting including international accounting, public sector accounting and critical perspectives on management accounting. Accountancy staff also foster collaborative interdisciplinary and international research which further strengthens its research base. Staff regularly visit universities in Europe, USA and elsewhere as well as hosting visiting staff and seminars.

Entry requirements

Applicants for these programmes must have at least a good Honours degree in Accountancy or a related subject and must provide a detailed research proposal and 2 academic references from their most recent academic institution. If English is not their 1st language they must also show evidence of attaining standards in English. The taught component of these programmes comprise a seminar series and discipline-based courses in research or subject specific courses, as appropriate for the individual student, delivered as part of the Graduate Business School taught programmes.
