The International Foundation Programme in Business is a one year course designed for International students who do not have the required GCE A levels or equivalent qualifications for entry to Aston University undergraduate degree programmes and who want to study Business or related programmes. The programme is equivalent to the UK’s Year 13.

This programme allows you to study modules which guide you through the processes involved in creating, sustaining and growing a successful business. In addition, you will receive support in professional and study skills. This is a transition programme which aims to consolidate your existing skills and knowledge and build on them to smooth your transition to a University environment. This course is only for non-EU International students.

Assessment method

As with a University degree, you can expect to attend lectures and seminars which support your independent study. You will be assessed by a variety of methods including written coursework, exams and presentations. The Academic Language Skills modules are taught by CELCA (Centre for English Language & Communication at Aston) which has a long tradition of teaching excellence in the field of English as a Foreign Language.
