Aston University, Birmingham has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
The International Foundation Programme in Business is a one year course designed for International students who do not have the required GCE A levels or equivalent qualifications for entry to Aston University undergraduate degree programmes and who want to study Business or related programmes. The programme is equivalent to the UK’s Year 13.
This programme allows you to study modules which guide you through the processes involved in creating, sustaining and growing a successful business. In addition, you will receive support in professional and study skills. This is a transition programme which aims to consolidate your existing skills and knowledge and build on them to smooth your transition to a University environment. This course is only for non-EU International students.

English language requirements
The standard University requirement for this course is UKVI Approved IELTS 5.5 with no sub-test less than 5.0 (or equivalent). If you require a Tier 4 (student) visa to study, you will need to ensure that you take the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) approved Secure English Language Test (SELT). Conditional offers to international students will be made on this basis.
