Our English programmes mix tradition and innovation, giving you a solid grounding on your subject, as well as exploring the new and the cutting-edge. If you choose Dundee, you can study Shakespeare as well as Comics; Romantic Poetry as well as Digital Poetry; Hollywood Film as well as European Art Cinema; plus creative writing and these are just a few examples of the variety we offer.

A level BCC - BBB A Level English / English Literature is recommended
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) DDM in a relevant subject
Scottish Higher BBBB - AABB Higher English at Grade B or above is recommended
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 30 points 30 points overall to include 5, 5, 5 at Higher Level. HL English is recommended.

A combination of IB Certificate plus other qualifications, such as A-Levels, Advanced Placement Tests or the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), will also be considered.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) H2, H2, H3, H3 Higher Level English at Grade H3 or above is recommended
Scottish HNC Pass in a relevant subject with B in the graded unit
