Course summary
Earn while you train to become a software engineer, and graduate with both a BSc and four years of work experience. Software engineers design, build and test high-quality software solutions, whilst always ensuring security is robust. They typically work as part of a collaborative team. This degree apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and experience you need to work as a software engineer. You’ll study part-time on campus at Queen Mary, learning alongside students on our standard BSc programmes. On the other days of the week, you’ll learn on the job, with one of our partner employers. International applicants
Fees for the course are covered by your employer and the ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency). Please note you will not be eligible for tuition fee or maintenance loans from the Student Loan Company. To be eligible for funding, you must meet the funding eligibility criteria as defined on the UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules QMUL and your employer will assess your eligibility to claim funding. To apply you must be: - a citizen of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) - or have lived in the UK or EEA for the past three consecutive years - or a non-EEA citizen with permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes), and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.
