Course summary
With the increasing trend of online and personal data, the systems that hold and store important information are exposed to a range of threats which constantly evolve and are becoming ever increasingly more complicated. The course has been designed as a practical vocational course, with input from local, regional and national organisations. The course aims to develop and equip learners with not only the technical skills but also the employment/personal skills desired by employers. Through the tutorial process entrepreneurship is explored along with the opportunity for industry related certifications in order to maximise students employability. On successful completion of this course, students will have both a theoretical and practical understanding of a range of Cyber Security technologies and working practices. On completion of this HNC, students can progress to Stage Two of the FdSc Cyber Security programme offered at the University Centre Truro and Penwith .
