Course summary

The focus of the MRes in Chemistry is learning through substantial "hands-on" research training along with completion of a final written thesis. Alongside this is a module of research-led teaching, to compliment the chosen chemistry research discipline.. Why study this course?

Learning is facilitated through hands-on research training and the completion of a final written thesis. You will experience research-led teaching to compliment your chosen Chemistry research discipline which will derive from organic, inorganic, physical and chemical biology subject areas, along with the teaching of relevant research techniques. You will have the opportunity to acquire postgraduate-level research and employability skills across a range of disciplines within Chemistry, providing a strong background for a research career in either academia or industry or for further study (PhD). About Keele Our beautiful 600-acre campus is one of the biggest in Britain – but all the most important services and facilities are on your doorstep, with accommodation, teaching spaces, facilities including a medical centre, sports centre and pharmacy, and a range of shops, eateries and entertainment venues – including the Students’ Union – clustered around the centre.
