The core scientific objective that underpins the research in the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences is to develop understanding of the natural and social environments of planet earth, the processes that shape them, and the challenges and processes that result from social and environmental change.

Honours degree (minimum 2.1) plus a relevant MSc/MA. Applicants whose first language is not English will require IELTS score of at least 7.0.

Programmes: English Literature and Creative Writing (Masters); Geography and Earth Sciences; International Politics; Law (PhD, MPhil and LLM by Research); Psychology; Theatre, Film and Television Studies IELTS 7.0 with minimum 6.0 in each component * English and Creative Writing (Masters) 7.0 in each component TOEFL 100 with minimum component scores: Listening 22, Writing 24, Reading 24, Speaking 25. Pearson PTE: 68 with minimum scores of 65 in each component
