Course summary
Rapid developments in audiology and our understanding of language, communication and educational practice make Deaf Education an exciting area of study. The PGCert Deaf Education (International) course uses an evidence-based approach to meeting the diverse needs of deaf children and young people and places a strong emphasis on the translation of research to practice. You will have the opportunity to access the latest research about the wide-ranging impact of deafness on language acquisition, literacy, and holistic development. You will learn about Audiological Management and apply this to the context of deaf children in your own setting.
