Course summary
This HTQ is an exciting and informative study programme that students should find stimulating and challenging, providing an opportunity to follow a specialist route of interest. Students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to progress to higher education or employment in this specialist area. This programme of learning is designed to meet skills gaps in the current workforce and to enable progression into a career in the computing industry. The Higher National Diploma (HND) is a Level 4 and Level 5 qualification made up of 240 credits studied over two years Students may progress to a Top-up degree at university to complete the final stages of a degree in this subject area. On completion students may develop their career in this sector by entering or continuing existing employment. Assessment method
Students are assessed by centre-developed internal assignments and Pearson-set assignments, which target industry-specific skills. Units are assessed using a variety of methods including reports, presentations, practical workshops and portfolios and evidence.
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
