Location: This is an award of Teesside University delivered in partnership with Stockton Riverside College (campus code 3, call 01642 865400 for more information on this course). Course overview: Become part of the SRCMTEnsemble with two performances across the course of the year ending with a spectacular musical as part of the HEFest. You develop performance skills in jazz, ballet, acting, acting through song, acting for camera and contextual studies, alongside growing your creative practice and taking on a production role within the SRCMTEnsemble. The programme aims to take work to the NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) as well as undertaking trips to local, national and international theatres. London and New York Trips are planned for every other year. There are regular industry workshops as well as practical and academic seminars. There are potential progression routes to drama school, employment or further study. You have a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the Academy of Performing and Technical Arts at Stockton Riverside College (APTA). The course provides you with future opportunities to become involved in local and national theatres and production companies, utilising local theatres including the Arc in Stockton, the Forum in Billingham and the newly renovated Town Hall in Middlesbrough. Audition
You are expected to audition for the programme at the Stockton Riverside College campus and prepare a song, a monologue and be prepared to take part in a movement/dance class. Auditions take place throughout the year. The audition is a full day where you learn about the programme, meet current students and take part in workshops.
