This course delivers understanding of the art of electrical and electronic engineering and an in-depth study of topics covering modern technology for electrical and electronic engineering. It allows for study of a variety of topics, including

Modules

Examples of modules include: Advanced AC drives with Project; advanced control system design with project; advanced electrical machines; advanced power conversion; digital communications; optical networks. The modules we offer are inspired by the research interests of our staff and as a result may change for reasons of, for example, research developments or legislation changes. Entry requirements

2:1 or equivalent grade in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related discipline. Applicants are expected to have covered modules such as Maths, Electric Circuits, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Analogue Electronics, Integrated Circuits, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or related key technical modules.
