Course summary
This foundation degree (FdEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering has been developed by Solihull College and Oxford Brookes University, to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a technical or management career in the electrical and electronic engineering industry. This programme offers flexible learning patterns. It enables students with a relevant Level 3 qualification in an Electrical and Electronic Engineering subject, or equivalent, to obtain a FdEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. If desired, it is then possible to progress to a BSc(Hons) programme in Electronic Engineering and practice in a career as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). The course has been developed to meet the industry's increasing demand for employees with the right vocational knowledge and skills. Graduates from the programme will have a wider and deeper range of skills that will help them progress in the workplace or to continue their studies to a higher-level degree course.
