Course summary
This course will benefit those who are working, or intend to work, in the fields of public health, health promotion or health protection in developed or developing countries. It will also be very relevant to those who work within the National Health Service (NHS), local government, regeneration, criminal justice or the 3rd (voluntary and community) sector.

Introduction to Public Health; Quantitative Health Research; Qualitative Health Research; Health Promotion; Epidemiology of Non-Communicable Disease; Health Protection; Leadership for Public Health; Public Health Policy and Politics; Public Health Economics; Dissertation.
Assessment method
All modules are assessed by a summative assessment, which can include coursework (essay or project), examination or presentation, which are sometimes supplemented with formative assessments.
Entry requirements
Good degree in a relevant subject area as well as appropriate experience. Non-graduates complete a pre-course assignment and are considered individually.
