Course summary

Data is everywhere – but knowing what to do with it is what makes you stand out. Our MSc Data Science is for those who want to go further than just understanding systems. It’s for those who want to shape them. This degree helps you develop the skills to handle large volumes of data, interpret results with confidence, and make smart, evidence-based decisions. From predictive modelling to advanced statistics, you’ll learn how to apply powerful techniques to questions that matter—in business, government, healthcare and beyond. You’ll challenge assumptions, test ideas and learn how to work with uncertainty. And because it’s delivered online, you can study flexibly while continuing to work or take on other commitments. If you’re looking to advance in your current role or pivot into a growing field, this course will sharpen your expertise and deepen your technical skillset—giving you the tools to lead on data-driven decisions and shape your next career move with confidence.

Modules

Your MSc will cover core topics like statistics, machine learning, software engineering for data science, and data visualisation. You’ll also explore areas like industrial automation, data ethics and advanced programming. Optional modules let you tailor your studies to match your career goals—whether that’s in research, business strategy, or a more technical role.
