Want to build your real-world skills and excel as a Project Manager? Our business Master’s in Project Management is designed specifically with your future employability in mind. You will advance your knowledge and understanding of the key and current aspects of project management and best practices, while also developing the skills and competencies needed to become a knowledgeable and effective business professional in today’s turbulent international business environment. You will graduate ready and confident to switch careers, take your career to the next level or start your own business as a freelance project manager. This business Master's degree is available to study on-campus or online as a full-time course (1 year) or with Professional Practice Year (2 years), or part-time (2 years). Our business Master’s in Project Management course is focused on the needs of the industry and aims to produce graduates who are ‘work ready’. A business Master’s degree in project management is sought after by many organisations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, making it a great way to develop versatile skills, such as planning and organisation skills and increase your employability. You will graduate fully prepared to effectively manage projects, learning strategies for planning, risk management, quality control, leading people and vital communication approaches. This course is taught by academics with extensive industry experience in workshop-style classes to ensure greater interaction with your lecturer and a personalised learning experience. You will apply the theoretical concepts and project management models to real life case studies and will also have opportunities to work with professional bodies and employers. This course is accredited by The Chartered Management Institute so upon successful completion of the course, you will have the option to apply for a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership as well as your degree. This course is also accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM), allowing you to progress to become an APM Chartered Project Professional after graduation. MSc Project Management with Professional Practice This course is offered as a 2-year full-time business master’s programme. Sharing the first year of study with the 1-year MSc Project Management, the 2-year programme benefits from a second year of Professional Practice that is specifically aimed at fostering the employment opportunities of students. Offering greater flexibility than a traditional Placement Year, our Professional Practice Year allows you to decide how to put your skills into practice. Choose between an academic dissertation, business plan, business or consultancy project, or a paid placement in industry, depending on the option that is best suited to your future career path. This course is currently available at our Birmingham, Leeds, London Moorgate and Manchester campuses, as well as online.* *Please note that campus locations are subject to change and may vary by intake and start date. Assessment method

Assessments are designed to meet the programme and module learning outcomes both academically and professionally and are both formative and summative. The formative assessments include the preparation and feedback from seminars, workshops, tests and presentations. Summative assessments that contribute to the grade may include written assignment, group work/studies, project and possibly exams.

Entry requirements

2:2 or above from a UK Bachelors degree, or equivalent qualification(s). English language requirements for applicants whose first language is not English - An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

2026/27 Course Fee (for courses starting on or after 1 July 2026) - For Domestic students in London: £12,650, and Outside London: £12,100. For International (non-domestic) students in London: £19,050, and Outside London: £17,500. Online students: £12,100. 2 year version with Professional Practice - For Domestic students in London: £13,950, and Outside London: £13,350. For International (non-domestic) students in London: £20,950, and Outside London: £19,250. Online students: £13,350. All fees above include a deposit amount of £250.
