Assessment method

A range of summative assessment methods will be employed, i.e. assessment expressed in marks that count towards the calculation of the final mark. . Coursework and practical assessments are used to test knowledge and understanding but they tend to focus more on the development of cognitive, practical and key skills. Such methods are highly appropriate to the nature of the law and legal practice discipline as they facilitate authentic, workplace relevant assessment and practice. Coursework and practicals will be set in a variety of formats. These include: • Essays • Portfolios • Research projects • Presentations.


Entry requirements

2:2 or above for students who have completed either the Paralegal and Advanced Paralegal CILEX qualifications, topped up with the LLB Law in Practice or have completed the LLB Law and Legal Practice or those who have decided to take the CILEX Lawyer route. 2:2 honours degree  or UWTSD recognised equivalent.


English language requirements

If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.0, with not less than 5.5 in each of the sub-tests. We also accept other English language tests.
